Iran's Parliamentary Speaker Ali Larijani has called for the withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq as the only solution to restore security in the war-torn country, Press TV reports on Tuesday.
The withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq is the only way to restore peace and stability in the country, Larijani said in a meeting with prominent Iraqi cleric Ayatollah Bahr al-Uloom in the Iranian capital Tehran on Monday.
Larijani said that the presence of foreign forces in Iraq has not only failed to decrease the country's economic and security problems but it has also led to rising insecurity in the war-torn country.
