North Caucasus to form new rescue center

The Russian Emergencies Ministry plans to open a new rescue service in the North Caucasus. It will include 11 rescue formations with over 7,000 people, RIA Novosti cites the director of the Department for Fire-Rescue Forces of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, Igor Sakharov.The rescue center will be formed by 2015, based in Pyatigorsk, according to a presidential decree of 30 September 2011.
It will consist of 7,230 specialists. There will be 8 regional rescue formations and the 179 center in Noginsk and 294th center “Lider”.
