The Armenian conscription program is overfulfilled at the moment,
Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Oganyan said on Tuesday, News Armenia reports.
Oganyan and the Minister of Healthcare Arutiun Kushkyan visited the
Central Rallying Point to observe the spring conscription process that
started on May 10th. The ministers talked with conscripts, commission
doctors and the rallying point’s staff. Oganyan met the parents of
conscripts and answered their questions.
According to Oganyan, the quality of conscripts is improving as well.
He noted that Armenian citizens feel greater responsibility towards
military service. There were farewell celebrations organized for
conscripts.
Kushkyan said that there will be regular visits, promoting high-level
medical examinations and solutions to existing problems.
