French President Nikolas Sarkozy has arrived in Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
His visit is part of a tour of the South Caucasus. Sarkozy plans to sign an agreement on the foundation of a school with classes in French.
The French president will have closed-door and expanded negotiations. These include talks on bilateral relations, regional issues and settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. France is a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group and will express its view on prospects of the peace process.
Sarkozy is assisted by officials from French companies operating in Azerbaijan and ministers. The visit to the South Caucasus started in Armenia. He will then visit Georgia.
