Iranian parliamentary commission to inquire in actions of presidential administration in connection major financial scandal

Iran's Parliamentary Commission has called for investigations of the presidential administration in the investigation of the largest financial scandal in the history of the country, 1news.az reports.

Shortly before the decision, the commission had received a letter from Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. He has asked the investigation authorities to inspect the administration of Ahmadinejad, in particular, the head of presidential administration Esfandyar Rahim Mashei.

Many in Iran believe that Ahmadinejad's possible connection with the corruption scandal will seriously damage his political reputation.
