Russian president sends congratulatory note to Baku International Humanitarian Forum

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has sent a congratulatory note to the Baku International Humanitarian Forum, Aze.az reports.

The president noted the role of humanitarian cooperation as a means of stabilization. It contributes to sustainable development and concerns all spheres of life: economics, science and culture.

Discoveries of the last decade have changed the world and people. The forum will hold talks on philosophical aspects of sciences and humanitarian aspects of models, problems of ethics and biotechnologies.

Humanitarian cooperation is rightly called “soft force”, because it breaks down the barriers to dialogue between civilizations, while uniting states and peoples based on justice and tolerance, solidarity and mutual respect. It opens great opportunities for people’s diplomacy and realization of joint programs in science, education, healthcare and art.

Medvedev’s letter was read out by Sergey Naryshkin, head of the Russian Presidential Administration.
