Co-chairs of OSCE Minsk Group to find compromise to settle Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group plan to arrive in the South Caucasus to find a compromise in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said, Trend reports.

The minister noted that the next meeting of the co-chairs will be in late October. Certain points have already been agreed on.

The main goal is return of the occupied territories to Azerbaijan, not determination of Nagorno-Karabakh's status, which requires the return of refugees.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy confirmed that the current status will remain unchanged. The French president visited Baku and Yerevan last week.
