Supreme Court of Ingushetia to consider charges against members of "Bamut" armed group

The prosecutor's office has lodged a criminal case against a member of the
Bamut armed group, RIA Novosti reports, referring to the Prosecutor General's
Office. In the summer of 2008, members of the group attacked the village of
Muzhichi in the Sunzha district of Ingushetia and killed a number of locals.

The incident occurred on July 8, 2008. The defendant, Ruslambek Gandaloev, at the time was a member of the militant group "Bamut", headed by Vaha Dzhenaraliev, according to investigators.

The head of the gang and the group's key players were eliminated during
special operations. Remaining members of the group are currently under
investigation.
