Experts: Tedeyev factor will not affect presidential elections in South Ossetia

The Central Electoral Commission of South Ossetia have stopped receiving petitions from initiative groups nominating their presidential candidates.

The total number of registered candidates for the presidency is nine.
Among others, the head coach of Russia in freestyle wrestling, Dzambolat Tedeyev was denied registration for the presidential elections. Tedeyev will challenge the decision in court.

The political scientist and director of the International Institute of Political Expertise, Evgeny Minchenko, has analyzed the current political situation in South Ossetia in an interview to VK and underlined that Mr. Bibilov is the current favorite of the elections. He also added that the Tedeyev factor will not play a major role in the elections.
