Iran has been accused of organizating the murder of the Saudi Arabian ambassador in Washington. This forces the US to convince other states to take harsher sanctions against Tehran, Reuters cites US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as saying.
Two Iranians suspected of preparing the murder of a Saudi Arabian ambassador and attacks on Saudi Arabian and Israeli embassies were arrested on Tuesday. Iran denies the US accusations, Gazeta.ru reports.
A spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ramin Mehmanparast, says that the situation was made up.
Nonetheless, an Iranian confirmed that the Iranian government was involved in financing the operation.
US Attorney-General Eric Holder said that Tehran would be brought to justice. The US will announce measures against Iran in the near future.
