Erdogan recommends Sarkozy to mind business in own country

French President Nicolas Sarkozy should put things in order in his own state and not give advice to Turkey about the so-called Armenian genocide, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told TRT Haber.

Sarkozy is implementing a dual policy, Erdogan said at a session of the parliamentary group of his Justice and Development Party. The Turkish PM believes that Sarkozy’s statements were made to improve his rating in the coming elections.

The French president said in Yerevan that, if Turkey refuses to recognize the Armenian genocide, France will take counter measures. France has been opposed to Turkey’s membership in the European Union for a long time, the French leader reminded his listeners.
