Iran's representative at the UN says Canada is the main supplier of arms to Israel and is therefore an 'accomplice in all Israeli crimes' committed in the occupied territories, Press TV reports on Wednesday.
During the recent session of the General Assembly's Disarmament and International Security Committee in New York, the Iranian delegation issued a statement condemning Canada's silence towards Israel's nuclear weapons program, which poses a great threat to global security and is not under international inspection.
Regarding Canada's claim that 20-percent uranium enrichment by Iran is illegal, the statement added, “This measure is completely legal and its aim is to provide fuel for the Tehran reactor which produces medical isotopes used to treat more than one million cancer patients.”
