Ricardo Patino Aroca, Ecuadorean Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Integration, will visit Azerbaijan on October 18, Trend reports.
The minister will meet Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. He will also meet local businessmen and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
Ecuador is interested in political and trade cooperation, the role of Azerbaijan in transit of Ecuador’s products to Central Asia, climate change, the Yasuni Initiative, the Trade Code, the global financial crisis, a new international financial architecture, multipolarity and regional unification.
The embassy of Ecuador in Russia signed a deal lifting the visa regime, a protocol on cooperation of ministries and a memorandum of understanding on establishment of a joint trade-economic organization (JETCO).
Aroca will meet Azerbaijani Minister for Economic Development Shakhin Mustafayev and Prime Minister Artur Rasizade. He will also visit major technological and industrial facilities and meet Azerbaijani authorities to discuss technical cooperation.
