The Russian authorities are starting to implement the North Caucasus Federal District development strategy adopted recently.
In the framework of the program, the Russian state-run bank 'Vneshekonombank' allocated 10 billion roubles to Chechnya in order to build a ski resort in the Itum-Kalinsky District of the republic.
The project was launched on the initiative of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.
Yesterday issues of investment in the region were discussed in the Southern Russian city of Yesentuki at a meeting of the Russian Security Council. The meeting was organized on the initiative of President Dmitry Medvedev and was attended by the presidential envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District, Alexander Khloponin.
