US representative to the UN Susan Rice has held individual talks with representatives to the UN Security Council after Iranian “plans” to kill the Saudi ambassador to the USA were exposed, RIA Novosti reports.
The French Ambassador to the UN, Gerard Araud, said that France supports the US initiative.
Representative of Portugal Jose Kabral said that the accusations “are very serious”.
The Iranian plot was exposed on October 11. The plan was to murder the Saudi ambassador to the USA and bomb the Saudi Arabian and Israeli embassies.
The UK said that the plot will not be left unpunished.
