Adygeya received a Chrystal Noosphere, the highest prize of the National Ecological Award for ecological activities, Interfax reports.
Adygeya demonstrated the best results in sustainable development of ecology, realization of balanced industrial development, recognition of the priority of ecological policy in urban planning and economic decisions, head of Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage, Vladimir Kirillov, said.
He noted that one of the criteria for receiving the award was the ecological standards of life in Adygeya.
