Dagestani President Magomedsalam Magomedov welcomed the delegation. The delegation met Rizvan Kurbanov, deputy head of the Dagestani government, Antonin Idrisov, deputy chairman of the Dagestani government, Gamzat Gamzatov, chairman of the Public Chamber of Dagestan, Bekmurza Bekmurzayev, Minister for National Policy, Religion and Foreign Affairs, Musalan Takhmanov, deputy head of the Presidential Administration and government, Zubayru Zubayruyev, acting head of the directorate for information policy and the presidential press-service and Abdula Omarov, Plenipotentiary Envoy of Dagestan to Stavropol Territory.
The “Dialogue” delegation consisted of Madina Shavlokhova, a political analyst and journalist, Alexander Bosykh, member of the presidium of Rodina-Congress of Russian Communities, Yevgeny Selemenev, spokesman for Spartak FC Fratria, Maksim Markov, head of the section for interaction of the church and society of the Moscow Patriarchy, Alexander Fursov, head of the Otvaga public organization and Alexander Dobromelov, deputy head of the Institute for Political Studies.
The visit is intended to give a picture of the modern inter-ethnic state of affairs in Dagestan and form an adequate attitude towards the North Caucasus as a whole.
