The Azerbaijani community in Nagorno-Karabakh is ready for talks with the Armenian community, Bayram Safarov, head of the Public Union “Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh”, told Trend.
Meetings of both communities in Nagorno-Karabakh must be regular and may contribute to the peace process, Safarov believes.
Bakhar Muradova, Azerbaijani Vice-Speaker of Parliament and head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, spoke out for such meetings.
Muradova also said that Zhoao Suaresh, special OSCE representative to the South Caucasus, will visit the region in November or January. They exchanged views on meetings of the communities.
Safarov noted that the Azerbaijani community in Nagorno-Karabakh is actively operating in various spheres. One of the main goals is to help fulfil the rights of refugees who had to leave their homes due to Armenian aggression
