The agreement to establish a free trade area in the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States is a remarkable step in the integration of post-Soviet republics, Azerbaijani diplomat and political analyst Fikret Sadykhov told a VK correspondent.
"This process is a very important one, it deals with the economy and trade in the CIS. Azerbaijan hasn't rejected this offer. It's considering entering the free trade zone, along with Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan," the expert said.
He also said that Azerbaijan is in fact interested in the agreement as the country has economic ties with other CIS countries.
