The presidential envoy in the North Caucasus Federal District, Vice-Premier Alexander Khloponin, joined the governor of the Stavropol Territory, Valery Gayevskiy, in reporting to President Dmitry Medvedev on the situation in the region after a deadly blast in Stavropol.
"Khloponin and Gayevskiy informed the head of the state on what is being done to aid the injured after the terrorist act and to provide financial and psychological support for the relatives of the victims", the
Kremlin said.
The president was also informed about measures being undertaken to maintain public order in the region.
