Kiev is hosting the 6th Forum of Art and Science Intellectuals of CIS to discuss historic-cultural heritage and humanitarian development of CIS states, AZE.az reports.
The forum was first held in 2006 and has been a respected platform for discussions of joint projects in education, science, literature and other spheres of intercultural interaction.
The forum started with discussions of topics “Taras Shevchenko: work and intercultural dialogue” and “Mikhail Lomonosov: scientific and creative heritage”.
Awards will be handed for popularization of material and non-material cultural heritage of CIS sates. The International Association of Academies of Science and the Eurasian Association of Universities, the CIS Council for Tourism and the Associations of History Institute will have sessions. The council of heads of conservatories and the council of heads of theater unions will have own sessions.
CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev and officials from Ukraine are expected to arrive for the two-hour forum.
