Several rounds of voting in the UN headquarters for the election as non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in 2012-2013 from Eastern European countries ended without result. None of the countries could overcome the barrier in two-thirds vote which is necessary by the UN Charter, Trend reports.
Azerbaijan did not get just 14 votes to win the elections.
It was decided to postpone a voting on Monday, October 24.
As a result of other ballots Pakistan, Morocco, Guatemala and Togo become new non-permanent UNSC members.
From Eastern European States, Azerbaijan, Hungary and Slovenia claim for places that Bosnia and Herzegovina will vacate in late 2011.
