The Turkish military operation against Kurdish militants of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party in Northern Iraq was concluded today, Trend reports.
The operation took 5 days, and was supervised by head of the General Staff Nejet Ozen. About 5,000 servicemen were involved. 49 militants were killed.
The ground operation against terrorist of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) was organized in response to the murder of 24 Turkish servicemen in Hakkyari Province near Iraq on October 19. It is being held in five districts with 10,000 servicemen involved.
