Russian servicemen transferred to reserve from military base in Armenia cannot return home

Prosecutors of the Southern Military District demanded commanders of the 102nd military base of the Russian Defense Ministry in Armenia that servicemen transferred to the reserve be sent home immediately, Interfax reports.


The prosecutors and the Committee of Soldiers’ Mothers are investigating the problem of 317 servicemen who cannot return home, a spokesman for the prosecutor's office of the Southern Military District, Natif Gajimetov, said.


He noted that soldiers and sergeants cannot leave the base for lack of transport. Prosecutor of the Southern Military District Vladimir Milovanov demanded that the problem be solved immediately.
