Tunisian envoy stresses strong ties with Iran

Tunisian Ambassador to Iran Mohammad al-Hasayeri has highlighted the importance of expanding bilateral ties between Tunisia and the Islamic Republic, Press TV reports.

Iran and Tunisia have many commonalities and I hope that bilateral ties between the countries will expand, Iranian media quoted al-Hasayeri as saying on Thursday. 

The Tunisian envoy to Tehran further said that he will make efforts to help consolidate Tehran-Tunis ties. 

Referring to the recent wave of uprisings and revolutions sweeping the Arab world, al-Hasayeri said, “People are after justice, unity and freedom. All Muslim countries have the same goal and they will achieve it.”
