The European Union welcomes the progress in the Russian-Georgian talks over Russia's World Trade Organisation bid, EU envoy to Georgia Philippe Dimitrov said.
Previously Georgia accepted a Swiss proposal to find a compromise in the talks.
Russia is trying to enter the World Trade Organization in spite of Georgia's attempt to obsruct the process, as the country is enraged after the war with Russia in 2008.
