Russia denies Georgia control at Abkhaz and South Ossetian borders

Georgia wants customs control on the border of Russia with Abkhazia and South Ossetia as a condition for permitting Russia to join the WTO, Russian Presidential Advisor Arkady Dvorkovich told journalists, RIA Novosti reports.

The Swiss and Russian presidents held talks without any points on customs control on the borders of the two breakaway states. Dvorkovich noted that there are other mechanisms in the documents.

Dvorkovich confirmed that Russia recognizes Abkhazia and South Ossetia as independent states.
