Armenia plans to open seven new embassies in 2010-2011, particularly,
in Japan, Kuwait, Iraq, Lithuania and Scandinavian countries, News

In 2009 the state budget for opening new embassies was $13 million,
$11.8 million of which were spent.
Armenia failed to open embassies in Japan, Finland and Lithuania. In
2010 the Foreign Ministry redistributed finances for embassy opening
and expects an increase in financing in 2011, Kocharyan said.
He said that the Armenian embassy in Brazil will start work in the near future.
