Putin to be image of United Russia during polls

The Russian Prime Minister has permitted the United Russia Party to use him as an image for electoral campaigning, his press secretary Dmitry Peskov said, RIA Novosti reports.


President Dmitry Medvedev is heading the electoral list of United Russia at the parliamentary polls. Medvedev and Putin are both meeting the party’s activists. The officials had a meeting with workers in Stavropol Territory. It was the third meeting. Previous meetings were held in Krasnodar and the party’s office in Moscow. Medvedev criticized opposition at a meeting.


President Medvedev held another meeting with activists in Barnaul. The talks were remarkable for Medvedev’s call to cut the hands off of people selling alcohol to children.
