The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Bernard Fassier (France), Robert Bradtke (USA) and Igor Popov (Russia) - and the special representative of the OSCE chairman, Andrzej Kasprzyk, have presented a report on OSCE work, ANS PRESS reports.
They informed that they had visited the Nagorno-Karabakh region 8 times and held 14 meetings with the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia. They have crossed the contact line of forces 4 times in the last 4 months. This has demonstrated that the contact line is a barrier for the region and it demands preparation of the sides for enforcement of the cease-fire regime.
The co-chairs reported on additional measures to enforce the cease-fire regime and improve the atmosphere of trust and mutual understanding. The OSCE officials plan another visit to the region in late November for development of proposals on the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process and negotiations.
