IMF chief starts three-day visit to Russia

Christine Lagarde, managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), starts her three-day visit to Russia on Sunday. Lagarde will hold talks with representatives of the Russian Finance Ministry and Central Bank, RIAN reports.
Russia, like other member countries of BRICS, which unites Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, speaks for reforming the IMF, in particular its management bodies, and says members’ quotas should be redistributed by 2014.
Russia has been a member of the IMF since 1992.
