Putin supports Iran on criticism of West

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin backed Iran in its criticism of the West, noting the inconsistency of the Western powers that at first supported regimes in North Africa and later – revolutions against them, Interfax reports.

Earlier Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi condemned Western countries for their actions in the region.


Salehi said that Iran favors talks between government and resistance forces, and insists on implementing the requirements of a majority.
