The head of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), Mahmoud Abbas, who also heads the Fatah movement, and the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Khaled Meshaal have agreed to discuss ways of reconciliation in the second half of November in Cairo, RIA-Novosti reports.
The peace meeting was previously scheduled for the first half of October, but did not take place.
Political advisor of the PNA leader, Nimer Hammad, said that Abbas and Meshaal will discuss previous agreements on the inter-Palestinian reconciliation and obstacles to the peace process during the Cairo meeting. They will also discuss the continuing Israeli settlement activity in the occupied Palestinian territories.
