A Georgian voice in NATO will bring political and economic dividends, Georgian Minister for Economy and Sustainable Development Vera Kobalia said after an honorary evening dinner with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen in Tbilisi yesterday, bizzone.info reports.
It is not just security, but also development of democracy. NATO membership will provide a rapid economic boost, many states that had joined the alliance had seen fast rates of economic growth, she notes.
The minister underlined that economic growth will benefit investors with formation of the secure and free trade regime.
