Alma-Ata has seen the unveiling of a monument to Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, named "Kazakhstan", Interfax reports.
Nazarbayev won the last presidential polls with over 95% of the vote. Alma-Ata Mayor Akhmetzhan Yesimov says the composition is a symbol of heritage of the past present and future of the state.
