Israel honors Ahmat Kadyrov

The authorities of the Israeli village of Abu-Gosh decided to name one of the village's streets after Ahmat Kadyrov, the former Chechen president who was killed in 2004, VK correspondent in Israel Pyotr Lyukimson reports.

The decision was made after local historians found out that a lot of villagers have Chechen origin.

However, various sources prove that in fact ancestors of Abu-Gosh residents were Circassians, but not Chechens. There are  now 400 Circassians in Israel.
