Kazakh government to resign after elections

The Kazakh government will resign in mid-January, Presidential Advisor Yermukhamet Yertysbayev said, Trend reports.


The parliamentary polls will be held on January 15 and the parliament will be dismissed on January 16, the official said on Thursday.


The first parliamentary session will be held in mid-January 2012.


President Nursultan Nazarbayev ordered the dissolution of the lower chamber of parliament. Experts say he wants to introduce a multi-party system in the parliament.
