The State Duma ratified on Friday the Caspian Security Treaty signed by all Caspian states - Russia, Iran, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, RIA Novosti reports.
The document says security issues in the region are prerogative of the Caspian states that are bound to cooperate in the sphere of defense.
The parties also agreed to struggle against illegal migration, smuggling and terrorism.
