Russia's largest state-run bank 'Sberbank' and the Eurasian Development Bank have decided to provide Belarus with $1 billion loan, the head of the Eurasian Development Bank, Igor Finagenov, said, Echo of Moscow reports on Friday.
Belarus is experiencing a severe economic crisis and needs immediate investment. The International Monetary Fund at the same time said that the country will receive no loan until President Lukashenko frees all political prisoners.
