Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov noted that the $7 million Russia pays for renting the Qabala radar station is a very small sum, judging by its significance for Russia and the risks for Azerbaijan to maintain it. The price should reach hundreds of millions of dollars, the official says, 1news reports.
On the other hand, Azimov noted that the radar station has clear parameters and coordinates of activities. Azerbaijan cannot use the facility in the context of its interests and national security.
The official concluded that they will consider the Qabala radar station, its rent prices and will make decisions by the expiration of the current contract on rent.
