Armenia to settle prisoners in Nagorno-Karabakh - 2

Armenia is developing a bill on settlement of prisoners in Nagorno-Karabakh. It will be presented to the president and parliament in the near future, News Azerbaijan reports.

This concerns territories taken by Armenia in 1992-1994. Settling the territories with prisoners would bring positive results, the chairman of the “23 August, National Alliance” human rights organization Pushkin Serobyan says.

Bakur Karapetyan, writer, publicist and coordinator of the social council for Nagorno-Karabakh, says that prisoners welcome the idea. About 1000 families may be settled.
