Armenian freight transport has been permitted to enter Turkey since August 2011, Noyan Soyak, Vice-President of the Turkish Armenian Business Development Council, said, ArmInfo reports.
Arsen Kazaryan, Chairman of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen, said that the initiative comes from the TIR deal on international road freighting, which Armenia cannot use at the moment. Turkey permitted only 200 Armenian freighters to enter. But no vehicle with over 14 passenger seats is allowed to enter.
