Turkey apologizes for 1930s operations in Kurdistan

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has apologized for Turkish military operations in Kurdistan in 1936-1939, during which thousand of Kurdish people were killed, Interfax reports on Wednesday.

"I have to apologize. I am very sorry for that," Erdogan said, addressing members of the ruling Justice and Development Party.
