Baku is hosting an international seminar on border security and drug control supported by NATO, organized by the Azerbaijani State Border Service, APA reports.
Border security officials will arrive from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, NATO, the UN, EU and OSCE, as well as officials from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Ministry of National Security, Interior Ministry, Defense Ministry, State Migration Service, State Customs Committee and the State Committee for Drug Control and Trafficking.
State Border Security Chief Lieutenant-General Elchin Guliyev, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov and NATO Deputy Secretary General for defense policy and planning Husein Dirioz discussed cooperation in border security and drug control.
