The Georgian Parliament has passed a bill on benefits for compatriots living abroad, Georgia Online reports.
They will receive special status. 20-year-old compatriots abroad will receive a 3-year document, 20-65 year-olds will receive a 10-year one and people over 65 years old will receive an unlimited one. Violators of Georgian laws will not receive such documents.
Owners of such documents have visa-free status for 30 days in Georgia to take part in sporting and educational events.
Such regulations will affect Georgians living on the border of Fereydan Province in Iran and living in Turkey.
The law will come into force in March 2012.
