Unidentified attackers have blown up a pipeline in Egypt exporting gas to Israel and Jordan, Reuters reports.
The blast happened in several hours after the first parliamentary polls in Egypt since resignation of Hosni Mubarak. the pipeline west of El-Arish in the north of the Sinai Peninsula was damaged. It has been the ninth blast on the pipeline this year. The previous blast happened on Friday.
Cairo announced renewal of gas supplies for Israel and Jordan last week. The supplies were halted 4 months ago.
