Iran can only build short- and medium-range missiles, none of which would reach Poland. This is why missile defenses in Europe have nothing to do with the Iranian threat, Russian representative to NATO Dmitry Rogozin says.
The missile systems are to control Russian air space. The official believes that the US is establishing its defenses and trying to ruin the strategic balance in Europe.
Rogozin says that such a view has nothing to do with the electoral campaign in the country. It is a matter of national security. Russia still hopes for a constructive dialogue with Western partners. The Russian president warned about neutralization of the multi-million expenditure on the missile shield construction in Europe.
