The Supreme Court of South Ossetia has recognized results of the second round of presidential polls invalid due to violations, RIA Novosti reports.
The second round was held on November 27. The first round on November 13 resulted in candidates Anatoly Bibilov and Alla Jioyeva as leaders with about the same number of votes.
Preliminary results of the second round were to be announced on Monday. But the Supreme Court postponed the announcement by a day to study violations. According to a count of 74 out of 85 protocols, Jioyeva had 56.7% of vote, Bibilov – 40%.
