5 Turkish soldiers wounded in mine attack

Five soldiers were wounded today in a landmine attack in the eastern Turkish province of Bitlis, Hurriyet Daily News reports on Tuesday.

The landmines were reportedly activated by alleged members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party, while an army vehicle was passing through. The explosion left five of the soldiers wounded, who were taken immediately to nearby hospitals.
