The Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District, Alexander Khloponin, says he is worried about the situation surrounding terrorism in the republics of Dagestan and Karachay-Cherkessia, Yuga.ru reports.
The official admited that in 2009-2010 the situation worsened dramatically.
At the same time, the current authorities claim all their policy aims to fight terrorism. Still, in the last few years terrorist attacks have become more frequent and violent.
